What is Shehaal?
The term shehaal comes from the Andrakis trilogy written by Tony Shillitoe, an author from Adelaide in South Australia. Tony created the fictional term as part of the language of the Ranu Ka Shehaala, a race of people introduced to the reader in the first book Guardians.
Originally, the books in the series were published by Pan Macmillan with the titles of Guardians (1992), Kingmaker (1993), and Dragon Lords (1993). By the late 1990's, the books were somewhat hard to come by, however the trilogy has recently been republished by Altair Australia. Although the title of the trilogy
has retained the Andrakis name, the individual books have been re-titled to The Waking Dragon, The Maker of Kings, and The Dragonlord War
In the series, the terms above mean: I used to have a personal blog on this site a few years back, and when I was coming up with something for a domain name, the term shehaal seemed fitting. I was also fortunate to receive an email (PDF, 4KB) from Tony one day when he came across this site! This document was last modified Sat 14/07/2007 10:18:15 PDT (changelog).
