Ambulance Services in Victoria
Ambulance Services in Victoria are provided by:
- Metropolitan Ambulance Service, or MAS, in metropolitan Melbourne;
- Rural Ambulance Service, or RAS, in regional and rural Victoria; and,
- Air Ambulance Victoria, or AAV, that is run by MAS for statewide aeromedical care.

Royal Flying Doctors Service - South Eastern Section
The Royal Flying Doctors Service, or RFDS, is the first and largest aeromedical organisation in the world. The South Eastern Section provides medical services to regional and rural New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania, southwest Queensland, and northern South Australia.

Australian Red Cross Victoria
The Australian Red Cross is a volunteer organisation that is part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, the largest humanitarian organisation in the world with over 97 million volunteers worldwide. The Australian Red Cross has emergency services teams that provide support to the community when tragedy or disaster strikes, including bushfire, floods, and more. Victoria State Emergency Service
The Victoria State Emergency Service, or VICSES, is a volunteer emergency service that provides planning and incident response to floods, severe storms, earthquakes, road accident rescue, as well as search and rescue.
Victoria Police
Victoria Police, or VICPOL, provides a 24/7 police service to the Victorian community.
